I placed an order from Lucky Model on February 2 2010. It is now June 27, 2010, and I still do not have all the items I paid for in full back in February. The only reason I ordered from Lucky model was because the prices were low and the website said the items I was ordering were “available”. No where on the site did it say that “available” means they can get it, but they don’t have it.

So, I am still hoping I get the items I paid for 5 months ago, but I will NEVER order anything from them again. I would rather pay a little more, and actually get the model, than pay less and get nothing.

A reliable shop with low prices. The site structure is too heavy and sluggish to search, but low prices and almost all the new products compensate it.
Huge sales twice a year.
The only problem – some goods are not “in stock” as they appear usually. You can change any good or expand/reduce your order by writing an e-mail, but it leaves a nasty taste.
The only negative thing is a “non-answering” policy if something goes bad (a chinease feature) – all the answers were answered except two ones with a spicy questions (for a shop).

Great product range at good prices. A lot of “free airmail shipping” items. Biggest issue is their shipping policy (First in, First out), when some thing turn from “in stock” to “available” within ordering and paying process. Sometimes long restock time. Otherwise fast responding, and very serviceable (with lot of shipping sub-options).

LuckyModel.com is the shop where I purchase all Tamiya and Hasegawa kits. I also order Gunze Sangyo paints from time to time here.

What I like:
- Never had problem ordering with my Virtual Visa card (unlike in other shops)
- Huge range of products: from Tamiya to Roden, from Sci-Fi to Armour
- Sylvia or Raymond are always ready to answer my questions (you have to post those via “My Request” in your account area)
- Product range gets updated all the time and old products get restocked quite fast.

What I don’t like:
- I actually don’t like viewing LuckyModel.com with my Opera: some section are misplaced. So it needs to be viewed with Explorer

Overall, LuckyModel.com is a very good online hobby shop and I’m regular customer with them.
